Hagoromo Otsutsuki  | | The Wind Country is a large, dry, and desolate country largely covered by a desert. Its cities are typically found near water sources. While much of the country is inhospitable, the population is large and prosperous due to its frequent trading with surrounding countries. Its hidden village is Sunagakure, Village Hidden in the Sand, located somewhere in the eye of the monstrous sand storms that plague that part of the land.

The country's weather variates from very cold (places where there's snow) to pleasantly warm (near the south beaches). Ocean commercial trade is the lifeblood of this country.

This country has small and low populated villages, with the exception of a couple of huge cities, home for the most of the country's population. Its main source of profit is the trade of minerals and precious stones, which are used in the crafting of weapons and armors. This is one of the five main countries and it contains a Shinobi Village of its own being it Iwagakure no Sato (Village Hidden in Rocks).

Hot springs are also prevalent within the country. Villages exist all around the country, protected by its valleys or even peaks. Its economy is good since it is one of the Five Great Countries and its hidden village is Kumogakure, the Village Hidden in the Clouds.
